How did Huggalugs come about?

The first Huggalugs product launched was Huggalugs Leg Huggers, leg warmers which can be used on both legs and arms, for babies and children in early 2006.

After searching high and low for leg warmers for littlies, Creator of Huggalugs Elizar Mytka became frustrated with what was and what was not available in the way of leg warmers for babies and children. Especially apparent was the lack of an Australian made option or one that fit her daughter Audrey's gorgeously chubby thighs.  Much design negotiation and trial on her own as well as friends and families children was needed to come up with the shape of Huggalugs Leg Huggers you see today. The design was made to not only covered the gap in little ones pants when out in the stroller or baby carrier but to fit both arms and legs and a wide variety of little and big ones body shapes without causing discomfort. This unique fit system (patent pending) makes our Huggalugs Leg Huggers a great fit to big and little kids, easily fitting a babys legs or a big kids arms and also vice versa.

Recently moving into global manufacture, all Huggalugs products are a direct response to issues we face as pregnant women and new mothers. We aim to deliver a product using a fresh palette of colours and some cute and quirky prints. Huggalugs strives to be environmentally aware and socially conscious and uses local manufacturers and environmentally sustainable materials in their designs wherever possible.
